A skydiver pulled off an amazing stunt when he climbed out from the cockpit of a glider and crawled along the wing - then somersaulted under the wing and stepped onto the wing of a second glider travelling below. He then moved back onto the main fuselage of the second glider while the first rider turned upside down and flew overhead so that the skydiver could reach up and form a human link between the two planes. The spectacular stunt was carried out by Salzburg skydiver Paul Steiner 2,100 metres in the air with both gliders travelling at 100 miles an hour above the mountains in Styria, Austria

A couple who took a yacht for a quiet sailing trip were stunned when a 40-ton whale crash-landed on their boat off Cape Town. The pair were enjoying calm seas off the South African coast when the animal flipped into the air and smashed into their mast. Ralph Mothes, 59, and Paloma Werner, 50, were helpless as the beast thrashed around on their 33ft vessel before slipping back into the water...

Thank goodness the hull was made of steel and not fibreglass or we could have been ruined'

A driver sets a new Guinness World Record by driving along two rows of beer bottles for 60 metres. Li Guiwen, an army driver from Beijing, set the record at a record-setting event hosted by China Central Television and the Guinness World Record Office. He drove along two beer 'roads' composed of 1,798 bottles that had been set up in Wenzhou, eastern China's Zhejiang province. Li drove along the two standing tracks for 60.19 metres in a time of 8m 28s. He had previously attempted the same stunt last year but failed after wet weather caused his right tyre to slip

A motoring enthusiast has built a bus capable of hitting more than 350mph. The yellow American-style school bus has been fitted with a jet engine from a Phantom fighter plane, allowing it to reach up to 367mph. Paul Stender and his team from Indy Boys Inc, based in Indianapolis, USA adapted the bus which uses a full tank of 150 gallons of fuel in just one quarter-mile run

A woman driver ended up parking her car in the roof of this Italian house after she forgot to put on the handbrake. Maria Rizzo, 34, stopped to admire the spectacular view from the street above the house in Alassio in northern Italy. But she was so intent on taking a snap that she forgot to put on the handbrake, and her car rolled away, smashing through a barrier and plunging down the hill onto the house below. It broke through the roof and landed in the bathroom, with the front end wedged in an iron bath which broke the fall and stopped the Fiat Panda plunging further into the house.A police spokesman said: 'Luckily no one was home at the time - so nobody was hurt, but the owner of the property did have a surprise when they arrived home'
